This is pretty much the reason I like the sales aspect of this site too.
I think the 4 different kinds of people (sales wise) can be summed up as
1. Number junkies. Wannabe statisticians (such as myself)
2. People who want their favourite games to sell well, so that there will be more of those games.
3. Those who want to use sales as proof that their machine is superior to the others.
4. The people who don't care about sales.
That doesn't sum up everyone, but I think the vast majority of the site is covered in those 4.
