Does higher userbase = higher sales for a game?

yea it does make a difference but surprisingly not by much. on alot of multiplat games the gap is really quite small between ps3 and 360. alot of people say its cause of failed 360's. lol funny how its supposed to be the other way round with the "only used as a blu ray player"
