I find it hilarious that people call 2 'identical' toads lazy yet their has been no difference between Mario and Luigi for nearly 30 years except for a colour change (ex Mario 2).

It's just the fact that with so many characters to choose from in the Mario universe, I don't understand why we have to setlle for an extra generic Toad rather than a different character.  There's simply so many better options than tossing in some random Joe, which is essentially what they did.  There's just something a lot more appealing about it with an extra character, and it wouldn't have been difficult to include.

and not mention...there may no gameplay difference and a pallet swap, but everybody considers Mario and Lugi 2 different ppl which in those was enough..wat can u say about the identical of the 2 toads..they even have names?

Their names are Blue Toad Toad and Yellow Toad Toad. The Toad Brothers. Blue Toad wears a blue hat and Yellow Toad wears a yellow hat.
