Little Big Planet has 4 player local co-op, 4 player online, and a variation of 2 local/2 online or 3 local/1 online.
It can be done, and does not take away from anything, infact it makes it better, because when you have people that can play with you, then bam your all having fun, you wanna play with people while your at home alone, then it can be done as well, either way it's a win-win situation.
The fact that NSMB Wii doesn't do it despite Little big planet doing it a year ago is laughable, and this is the reason reviews are critiquing it, because it's been done before and it's proven to work so the lack of it is just Nintendo dropping the ball yet again with online.
It doesn't matter because the game will sell gang busters regardless, pitty though because Nintendo could have done so much more...and to be honest the game should of only got a 6 or 7 out of 10, not 8.9, but that's just my own opinion.
