Image Entertainment, as part of the reported financial results for its second fiscal quarter, informed that domestic Blu-ray revenues in July-September 2009 were over $2.5 million, 150.6% up from the same quarter last year. BD is now the second largest revenue stream for Image, while digital distribution revenues increased by just 8.7% and stuck around the $1 million mark, and broadcast dipped 47.9%.

Here is a summary of the revenues in July-September 2009 and 2008:
  • Domestic DVD: $24,393,000 | $27,909,000
  • Domestic BD: $2,561,000 | $1,022,000
  • Digital distribution: $1,060,000 | $975,000
  • Broadcast: $612,000 | $1,174,000
However, BD revenues weren't enough to put Image in the black, as it reported a net loss of $1,614,000.
