Closer to 5k according to MediaCreate. But it's moved almost a million units already, that's more than any hardcore HD game so far... if Wii can't sell hardcore games, what's that say for the HD twins? :P

I didn't think this would move hardware, Tales of Graces will probably do that though and New Super Mario Bros wii. But seriously we can't be so quick to call this game a bomb, yeah the game was not going to reach the sales status of FFXIII, but we've seen that wii games follow some weird sales patterns. Lets wait a while before we start saying doom. |
No, this game isn't going to recover. Too many problems inherent with it (10-12 hours long, not an RPG, marketed as a spinoff of a spinoff, launching too close to FFXIII, Kawazu's reputation). I think it's bad enough that it may have Kawazu reconsidering any Wii projects and it probably signals the death knell for the Crystal Chronicles subseries (though EOT's decline didn't help there either).
Mario and (to a far lesser extent) Tales are the only hopes for pushing hardware this year. Musou could go either way, though that series has been in sharp decline pre-Wii and this being the first installment on Wii (after what 7+ on the HD consoles already?) probably won't bode well. Wii at least has some decent filler in it's pocket though (Pokepark, Taiko 2, Momotaru, etc) which is a nice change from the usual.
