I actually think it has a strong Super Mario World feel to it, the sound effects in particular, Yoshi jumping on enemies gives the same sound and the spin jump is in via a shake of the Wii Remote. My only control complaint has been the D-Pad.. I've died twice by butt stomping lava or a pit when I didn't mean to press down on the D-Pad.
I'm up to World 8, it's taken me around 5 hours or so but I have quite a few coins to go back and collect ^^ (and that's the hardest part about this game, those damn coins!)
