Oh yes there were plenty of people who cried failure on this game, very much so the second week when the sales fell pretty bad. Some have consistently bashed the games performance (I wont mention any names but there is a guy from Japan who really goes way over himself trying to find bad news about the sales).
The ones who thought MH3 would have the kind of legs the PSP games have were also quite annoying since it was pretty obvious it wouldn´t. However I actually really think this game is a HUGE success if you consider how rare big sellers are on homeconsoles these days in Japan. Millionsellers are very rare for homeconsoles and it´s only Nintendo who has achieved it so far this gen. Here comes Capcom and scores one and as a thirdparty for a Nintendo console none the less which hasn´t happened since SNES. I think that´s pretty great.
