We can hype as many games as we want. Publishers would love it if we hype every game, and I have no regrets about getting hyped for The Conduit. It's a good game, and it had potential to be great. It's like they slaked off after they had a publisher and didn't go back and polish off earlier levels, but overall it's worth it. if for no other reason than lack of decent competition...

For people that like The Conduit a lot and thinks it deserved the hype because it is a lot of fun, and also have reflex... is reflex worth it? Does it have the same fun factor? Generally I prefer bright alien sci-fi to realistic, so that is a plus to The Conduit for me over reflex...

Obviously people who prefer realistic art style will bias toward reflex. However, is it everyone?

The Conduit was primarily hyped because of it's control customization, visuals, and online multiplayer. Modern Warfare is better on those three aspects compared to The Conduit.

Well don't forget, The Conduit was also one of the first major Third Party games that showed actual promise and tried to do all the stuff you just stated.  That's why it was hyped.  Modern Warfare might do it better, but The Conduit got hyped because it tried to do it first.  Kind of like Red Steel tried to do Wiimote Swordplay first.
