I dont get where you are getting that info from. Have you looked at the sales? In each market, the Wii is selling better than it had in previous months. Sure, it's not the numbers it was last year, but its definitely recovering from lower sales, not losing steam, as you suggest.
Or are you implying the Wii is getting overheated, and you're pouring water on it , creating steam, and now that it's cooling down, its generating less steam?
