gamers not buying? No more heroes a low quality game?

"Part of the reason games aren't selling is everyone is going out and buying games like Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3 and then comparing them to games like The Conduit or No More Heroes or Red Steel..and seeing the massive difference in quality of the 'motion controls' and 'pointer functionality'."
Mario galaxy is selling because is a third person adventure game with Mario.MARIO.
Metroid is not selling better than third party shooters like Word at war, given how much longer it was on the market.
Gamers are buying shooters like red steel...as fast as metroid prime 3.And Call of duty WAW sold 1 million TWICE as fast as corruption did,and scored on par with it qualitywise(maybe not according to you but according to most).
Gamers buy dont doubt that. Not sure if Muramasa as wonderful as it is, will sell in the lines of COD or RE, but i hope so.Hell , Conduit managed to sell...shooters wont usually see the struggles of games like LKS or a boy and his blob.

You're talking about the Wii pointer functionality and I gave the two games that ar praised as utilizing it the best (Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3).  Even if a couple games have sold better, it doesn't stop people from comparing them to those titles and hesitating from buying more.  Heck, the biggest complaint against the Wii from both publishers of third party titles and fans is 'third party games aren't as good as Nintendo games so they can't compete'.

Perhaps the Call of Duty games are an exception, but most of the others, especially The Conduit, most likely lost sales due to the stigma of 'not being as good as a Nintendo title'.  This claim was put specifically towards games like Red Steel, No More Heroes and Madworld.  And that's the same thing that's keeping games like Muramasa and Little King's Story from seeling (along with a lack of advertising).

perhaps you are right about tc although it was a new ip, but struggling with 300k and calling it problematic is nowhere as a big issue as lets say, A boy and his blob and struggling with 20k. I mean you have to realize that the games from the third parties have entirely different markets. For instance, you claim to believe is quality-control application but its more gender:

Mario adventure will sell .
But madworld is not mario, is not so friendly, is black and white, is violent ,is VERY niche, is a new ip.Madworld is not Segas Mario. Is Segas Madworld. The closest thing Sega does in mario terms, is Sonic , And let me tell you , Sonic did darn fine outselling ps3 and 360 versions, getting to a milion.Sure not mario success(Sonic is not as famous as Mario), but boy it sold.Whats that ?3 millions?wow.
Same goes for No more heroes. Is not doing moderately ok for being Ubisoft the publisher or quality. What slashing mindless gory crazy anime game has Nintendo done on the wii?none.Theres no counterpart.

Ima be honest with you.If nintendo goes and publishes/makes mature games ,they wont succed more than EA or ubisoft. Case in mind, Disaster.Hell Disaster failed worse than Madworld(and was worse than it or NMH).Case in mind, Fatal Frame 4. Nintendo decided that game woudnt be succesful already and called it out on NA just like Disaster.

And when nintendo releases a game in the same genre as the third party competition (Prime), surprise, sales of Red steel (1.2 mil), COD (1.3,1,2), match it.

Muramasa is 2d scroller and wont be too surprising to catch nintendos 2d scroller, wario shake it!, over time.

Not that prime did bad numbers(1.5?) but that goes to show that when it comes to out of mario bounds, nintendo has no advantage. For instance, EA active already sold terribly well. The case where your statement applies is in stuff like mario kart clones, mario party clones and mario anything clones. Third parties dont have Marios hook and wont ever get the sucess of Mario without it.Also, in said cases, is true the quality is inferior, but thats a given, since cloning nintendo games is already a proof of lazyness.

the gamers that complain about third party games or core games also are the ones not even buying first party ones(disaster was a disaster).
