The PC version of Orange Box outsold the 2 consoles it was released on, combined.  And not by a small margin.

I honestly don't know.  The only reason I know for Orange Box is because Doug Lombardi has stated so.  I'd guess that L4D sold better on PC, but that's just a guess.
