well, I dont know how this works out BUT, on the leaderboards 24 hours after it launched (in my timezone EST) there were like 1.4 million already on there. Some of those are more than one people on the same PS3 I believe, but some people beat the single player before they jump online. I could EASILY see it doing over 2.5 million for the entire opening week.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
