Both mainline and spinoff Final Fantasy games are much more front loaded. However KH has a much more backloaded "casual" selling pattern. |
what are you talking about like any japanese game, it's front loaded, huge first week but small legs.
|
KH1 sold 415K Week 1.
Sold 1.25M worl wide.
So... about 1/3rd of it's sales were frontloaded. That means 2/3rds were do to legs.
When it comes to Final Fantasy games and their spinoffs it's the exact opposite infact.
Final Fantasy games thend to do 2/3rds of their sales week 1 in Japan.
The sales patterns don't gel... at all... and are exact opposites.

that was only true for kh1 probably because it was a new game have u seen kh2 and 358/2 sales?
|
Yes. It actually furthers my point.
KH1 sold like a New IP. Those two games sold like sequels of a popular IP.
In otherwords. Those two games sold mostly to the fans of KH1.
While KH1 created it's own fanbase independent of Final Fatnasy, since it did NOT sell like a Final Fantasy spinoff.

stop staying things like they are facts, while it got it own fanbase it's not totally independent of final fantasy.
