| Soriku said: Piracy? Seriously, the DS has tons of piracy too but it still sells titles fine. The problem is the lack of interest in PSP SW not piracy. I mean, my nearest local Walmart doesn't even stock PSP games. I see Wii, DS, PS3, 360, and PS2 games but no PSP games. KH isn't as complicated as you make it out to be. Really, the game can be beaten with X and then a heal spell. If KH is complicated, what do you say about games like Pokemon which are pretty targeted at kids? Pokemon also has skills, level balance, strategy, weaknesses/strengths, etc. and is not any less complicated than KH. And still, who are they marketed to? Same thing for KH. Really, if all FF fans bought KH, KH2 would've sold a lot more similarly to FF XII and KH1 would've sold more similarly to FF X. But they haven't. And if all FF fans bought KH and not Disney, KH games wouldn't sell 60% of their total sales in America where Disney is the most popular. Does the same happen for FF? Nope. |
1) 358/2 days sales are not impressive, same as com, they are on par with titles like PSP Dissidia, Crisis Core, even with bigger userbase and having all the kids marketing demographic.
and people don't stock psp games due the piracy, people simply don't buy games and yes PSP piracy it's that bad, and your nearest local walmart it's not only source of games in the whole country. but piracy on the PSP it's clearly affecting it.
2)i think both KH and pokemon are simple. yet they are not played entire like casuals like you are making at to be. the only way u can play like you are saying on hard, it's if you overgrind, and there is no way in hell u can beat coliseum, or sephiroth with X and heal.
3)not all FF bought KH, but i assure a big bunch of them did, this was this thread was about unti you and kaz starting debating.
also it sold over a millions in japan, where disney it's not as popular, but final fantasy is, not a single hardcore RPG do that amount in japan, just dragon quest, pokemon and final fantasy.
