I couldn't care less about Japan launches, I'm talking about the North American releases from the NES onward, since NA is the dominant market.
Also, who's to say that the other console makers don't have something right around the corner, and possibly launch before the next Nintendo home console?
There's no flaw, there's just a visable pattern.
