The best current production swords on the market for under 300 bucks are the Dynasty Forge musha line. They are really sturdy, and don't have a hamon, but they're made of spring steel and through heated. The raptor series by hanwei, the cheness tenchi, and and the Paul Chen practical series are all viable alternatives.
I know everything about swords, lol, if you want to gain my knowledge, all you need do is ask.
This is the type of crap I'm into besides video games, so that's why I posted this.
