^This is an entire week long sale, though, with multiple shipments more than normal. It will not follow your "shift" theory because it will really only affect mostly Walmart shoppers. The incentive is a Walmart gift card so people who buy games at GameStop or Amazon won't really be interested. If people are not Walmart shoppers they probably won't even know about the deal unless they catch the internet word of mouth.

I think its just a one day "pre black friday" saturday sale. Walmart did these last year. They are like mini black fridays. Not a week.

Not multiple shipments. Its a number of consoles per store......the reason why it supports my theor is because it means people who want a 360 this week will defer to walmart today, its not like everyone can walk into any walmart all week and come away with this sale....its an allocated amount, unknown quantity for one day.....thus shifting sales to wal mart, for a single day.

What scat398 said.  I had this confirmed by 3 different Walmarts.  One of which the manager actually checked their system and confirmed the promotion for the Xbox 360 Arcade + Gift Card lasts from November 7th to November 15th.  I was told that so long as they keep getting more 360's in their product shipments they will keep offering them for this deal.  This is definitely not just a one day sale like many were lead to believe.  It is grouped with all the other deals that were one day only, but this deal is 100% all week long.
