6.76 is the 360 gap. I predict it'll be 3M by the end of Jan 2010. With GT5 and God of War pushing the lead to a little bit under 3M

Nope. MW2 will help the 360 get back on track, then the 360 will come back steadily during the Christmas season. The PS3's sales will slow down. You're expecting a miracle if you expect the gap to 3M by the end of Jan. It's sad enough that the gap is at 6.76. The PS3 has sold very well, but where the great demand? The PS3 is at a truly affordable price now. Just like 2008, if the PS3 breaks down the lead to 5 million consoles, Microsoft will take it from there like they always do. Both systems will have amazing games coming out in 2009, but no game will be bigger than Halo Reach guaranteed. That my friend is a console seller. GT will give the PS3 a good push as well, but it wont do the numbers that Halo will.

Wanna bet?

Bet1: Which game moves more hardware? GT5 or Halo: Reach. Im up for GT5.

Bet2: Will the PS3 sales slow down during Christmas (Proper definition required). Im up for No.

Bet3: Which game will have stronger sales (lifetime, 1st month, first 3month,1st year, what ever we agree on). GT5 or Halo: Reach? Thats a hard call but for the sake of it ill stick to GT5.

Bet4: Will the gap between 360 and PS3 shrink below 5mil by 31/3/10? Yes my answer is.

I could make a bet with you, but I will be too busy next year. I never said The PS3 sales would slow down at Christmas. I said they will slow down going towards GT and then GT will cause a boost in console sales. The Halo and GT franchise have been seeing fluctuated responses, so I cannot exactly tell you which one will sell more. America will go crazy for Halo Reach and Europe will go crazy for GT5. Will make a bet with you though, that Halo Reach will sell more than GT out the gate first week. I cannot predict longevity even though every main storyline Halo has great  legs. The PS3 will gain like a million more consoles sold when GT launches, thats for sure.
