you realize 90% of these xbox's are being bought and resold on ebay?

and so it floods ebay with 360s only slowing down the sales via ebay so people will have much more xboxs to buy on ebay, and buy the time they all sell out on ebay, the time lost will just equal very minor sales towards 360s.

i know thats hard to understand, and even harder to explain, but if you get what im saying it makes complete sense.

these people buying the entire shipment clearly are going to resell them.

It is limit one per customer.  You have to go to multiple Walmarts to get multiple ones.  By the time you get to the third Walmart, they are all gone.  Trust me, I know.  I bought two.  One for my brother, one for my rents.

Also, I think it was getrdone that said MS and Walmart HAVE to have some sort of deal.  If you really ran businesses you would know that sales like these do work and have a purpose.  By taking a $100 loss they are guaranteeing that they use that $100 at their store.  Many people will use that gift card to purchase other things that may have higher profit margins.  It also brings you into the store to buy even more stuff just in general.  These says work.  If you still don't believe me, getrdone, prove me they DO have an agreement.  I don't have to prove a negative to you, you have to prove a positive.  That's how things work.

And finally, I can't believe how many people here have no idea what they are talking about (mostly PS3 fanboys in damage control, I see).  This is NOT a $100 arcade from Walmart.  Amazon price matched it for one day at $99, but those are already gone.  The Walmart deal is for a $200 Arcade with a bonus $100 giftcard.  And to all those wondering, you CAN NOT return the 360 without voiding the gift card.  I checked into it multiple times to find out for myself.  Multiple managers informed me that if you return one, they either void the giftcard via their system or must return both the giftcard and the 360 at the same time.

To any who asked or wants to know.  This sale at Walmart with the BONUS $100 gift card lasts until November 15th.  My original information was incorrect as I went back and confirmed with a manager in their system.  So long as they keep receiving more 360's they will have this deal until November 15th.  For the entire 9 days this deal is open, the overall sales boost could easily be in the 200k+.

Any more PS3 fanboy damage control I need to disprove?  Any more just general questions anyone want answered?

Walmart also has shown many commercials for Sony HDTVs, Nintendo Wiis, and Sony Blu-Ray players.  They advertise what they know sell best (which in the US is Xbox 360s, Xbox 360 software for multiplat games, Wiis, and Sony HD equipment with the exception of the PS3). And for the last time could the ignorant people quit calling this a $99 Xbox 360?  The Arcade still costs $199.  You are all just freaking out at the very real prospect that the 360 will experience great holiday sales even with the PS3 Slim and Price cut.
