yeah S-E would never put a final fantasy or a Dragon quest on a system that hadn't sold over 1 million
remember FF13 went into dev when people thought PS3 would be the winner
DQX went into dev when Wii was destroying competition in Japan
since then things have changed:
1. PS3 isn't the clear winner at all
2. Wii isn't destroying, but loosing to PS3 in Japan weekly now
