^Nintendo never launches first, except with the NES, since the console market didn't exist anymore after the crash and Nintendo had to rebuild it.
Also Wii is the first time since the NES that they've enjoyed this dominance, the SNES won but it was not anywhere near as successful as the NES. Wii is more like NES than Nintendo's other consoles
