Of course NSMBWii will outsell it. It doesn't make either game bad. Its just another trend of a Nintendo first party game outselling a highly popular HD game due to marketshare. If they want to claim a victory, they can turn around and say Madden bombed on Wii or Call of Duty can never come close on Wii.
Also, I think its more telling that Reggie stated 'For all of those core gamers who cry the blues of the lack of content, there's been a lot of great content. Open up your wallet and buy some.' I think the best part of the video was Reggie trying to focus on Third Parties, eventhough the interviewer kept trying to draw it back to the competition and Nintendo First Party games.
