Nice one PS3, HD has now retaken Japan!

It certainly never had taken Japan before and it has not to this day either. Portables own Japan and they sure are not HD. Besides Wii is still way ahead of PS3 despite the very good sales of the slimversion.

Alright, let me rephrase that, CORE HOME CONSOLES have retaken Japan with CASUAL HOME VIDEOGAME TOYS are (is) on their way down.

The HD userbase is now 5 million, compared to Wiis 8.5 million. Even the PS3 on its own is showing greater third-party sales, heck even the 360 is beating it on smaller titles!

Seems odd given the best selling 3rd party CORE HOME CONSOLE GAME so far this year is on the CASUAL HOME VIDEOGAME TOY. :P

True the HD systems generally have better 3rd party sales, but then they also generally get the better 3rd party content.  Hard not to make a connection there, especially when the few times Wii does get an attractive 3rd party brand (DQ Swords, Monster Hunter, Taiko, etc) they sell like crazy.

Orite you got me there, and im sorry if i was being a bit aggressive, because most people here come up with absolutely ridiculous arguments. Honestly, i cant remember the last time a Wii game flopped in Japan, its always somehow this or that.

With that said, while it sold well, given the popularity of the franchise and the Wii userbase, it shouldve sold 1.5 million AT LEAST. People will say its not as good on a console, but the fact is, Wii owners in Japan just arent serious gamers. I mean just look at how many games from mid-sized developers that have sold numbers that even the 360 could beat.

Im willing to bet Sin and Punishment wouldve sold 50k on the 360 given Treasures name. Its not impossible given other shooters on it have reached the milestone.
