Difference is only 260k, and FFX wasn't splitting sales with another version on a console more popular in that region.  FFXII and GoW2 gap is only 40k, and if their sales continue like they are GoW2 will pass it by the end of the year.  Personally I think they'll be close.

FF is front loaded though, you'll see the MASSIVE HYPE!

mainly because the wii is STILL at very high sales, almost 400K is amazing

FFXII and GoW2 were pretty close in first week sales.  We don't know what FFX was and the first God of War was low being a new IP.
