Because there hasn't been a single God of War released on the PS3. Most people who wanted Mass Effect would have a 360 by now. God of War hasn't dropped yet, and there could be 360 only users who are waiting for that game so they can purchase a PS3. Therefore, the potential is larger.

Note that I said "significant". Maybe we'll see a significant boost but I don't really see it happening - I find it hard to imagine that that many diehard God of War fans have held off on getting a PS3.

Oh, I'm not saying it's going to sell shitloads. It's not a GT/Halo/Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy, and anyone who says so is an ostrich with his head buried deep in the sand, ignoring reality. But if you're putting it up along with MAG against the likes of Splinter Cell: Conviction and Mass Effect 2, it can definitely hold its ground given the reasoning I provided.
