Observing IW's track record, its starting to seem that they are a "one trick pony" that just doesn't have the talent to do much else. Seems they are stuck in this rut of HD FPS games, and little else. While the games look good, it seems rather unflattering of them to not expand, as FPS games are the easiest of the genres to design/develop.

I only wonder if you'll still consider them a "one trick pony" if they just released the damned thing on wii. Otherwise, I agree with your points based on observation even though you can't really tell whether they stick to the FPS genre by choice or as a result of pressure from their parent company, activision

It has nothing to do what system it's on (I play these games on the PC anyway, much better quality, less lag, better controls)

Picture if Nintendo ONLY made Super Mario games, and they only changed slightly from one to the next one. After a while people would get tired of the series, and it'd lose its luster. Eventually the series would become stagnant and the company would falter because they didn't prepare for the fact that people were getting tired of a repacked game with enhanced textures. This is my point with IW - they're getting into a mentality of draining the cash cow without future-proofing their studio. Hell, its their choice, but if they don't branch out by MW4, they're going to be in a bad place, and likely consumed into a bigger studio who will effectively bastardize the series outright and make you love to hate it.
