I see, it's quite an condesending attitude some Europeans have towards Americans in general. I am not going to say we are smarter but we are more openminded, advertizing amongst tons of other examples underline my statement. Is it better?, who am I to judge...
Saying you don't understand for being stupid Americans is pointless and a stance I personally would never take. If only because it would be pointless to try and explain. Trying to convince someone of a concept they aren't smart enough for to understand is ridiculous although most religions are based upon that principle or use it to avoid difficult questions.
