There's a difference between all-ecompassing and more representative. If anything this casts more doubt on ioi's intentional overtracking of the 360. If NPD undertracks the 360 and is missing Toys R Us then it is undertracking both which while affecting overall numbers doesn't affect the ratio anywhere near as much. The PS3 by virtue of terrible sales can be ignored at the moment (due to any over-under tracking not having any major impact on ratios).
Personally I'd rather have the ratios correct and overall sales a bit low than one system tracked high and the rest low. Perhaps ioi should get into contact with some people at Nintendo HQ to get "correct" numbers for the Wii and DS so he can start overtracking them 10-30% as well to get the ratios back in line.
