Should I buy the Wii 480p-5 component cables?

Gamestop sells a componant cable that will work with PS2/3, 360 and Wii. Costs about $15.

I bought one of those from Gamespot and the damn thing didn't work at all.  Took it back and bought the Official Playstation Component Cable. Cost a bit more but the quality of the cords is quite good and they can be used on either the PS3 or the PS2.

I think this is the only way to get Gran Tursimo 4 to display in 1080i.  I actually got in an argument when I bought the cable because the clerk was trying to tell me that the PS2 would not display that resolution and buying the cable was a waste of money.  I told them to look up GT4 and Touring Trophy.
