(I have a feeling this has already been done)

I'm not trying to start anything here, it's just that today my friends Xbox 360 failed on him for the third time during the time he's had it, me also being a victiim of RROD, I wonder if MS waited a year longer to release it's console, would their consoles still have the problems that plague the system and MS today.

I'm fully  aware that the PS3 and Wii also have their sytems failures along with previous gen consoles, I guess maybe my main point is that Sony/PS3 fanatics always attack this problem the 360 has, and if MS released it around the time of the PS3 and Wii, and took the extra year to work out any possible kinks, would MS still be troubled by the RROD or E79 erros.

EDIT: after reading most comments on this thread, I guess it's safe to assume that the 360 was rushed, but for the right reasons such as getting a headstart on Sony(their main competition), but now another question comes to mind: if Sony passes Microsoft in hardware sales, would everything MS has done to stay ahead be undone?
