If you consider Assassins Creed as a first "next-gen" experience, then it must be first "next-gen" dissappointment.
I was thinking AC being more like "new Redsteel", or at least after Redsteel i didn't expect much more from AC. Lots of hype, but finally being fucked up in some of it's key elements. It of course doesn't mean, that gamers wouldn't like the game, and if my comparision to RS holds in sales, Ubisoft will be happy with AC sales.

No, I don't like that comparison.  Red Steel was hyped to be a great game and turned out to be a really bad game.  Assassin's Creed was hyped to be a great game and turned out to be a good, but flawed, game.  AC is fun to play, for a while.  It does have some major issues, but it's still a great experience, and if you ever get the opportunity, I highly recommend you at least spend some time screwing around in the game.

You know, this is why i made the comparision. Most people i know, have said the same thing about Redsteel. And both of the games seems to have the basics right, but just that few of their elements is fucked up.
