Didn't they comment on sales of games they've already released on XBL/PSN?
"And the old versions of Sonic games are selling very well on these platforms, so there’s a real market for these kinds of products."
Seems like they're comfortable with the possible sales they'd get with the just XBL/PSN. I'm sure if they could release it on WiiWare they will, but perhaps just focusing on what they want to make and not being restricted with the WiiWare size limit is fine if they think XBL/PSN sales will suffice.
