He's associating that the Roman Empire achieved far greater feats with their respectivly limited capabilities. Where as the other govenrment technoligicly is far superior. In comparison of these two empires which achieved greater success.
In relation SMB3 achieved incredible fiscal success on a far inferior machine. This was a game that saw such success because the game was good with it's limited capabilities. Now we see games which are vastly superior in technological design, but don't stand near as great as SMB3. If said games are truly far superior than SMB3 then all these games should be outselling it.
Well that's my take on his comments and makes the most sense to me.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
