This thread is hilarious.
Nobody can actually read the original link, but because someone claims it says RE UC has sold 100,000 on day one, all the Nintendo fanbois are ready to throw a party to celebrate.
Some facts:
1) I live in Japan. RE UC was released yesterday. When I got home from work it was about 7:30pm, yet this thread already existed. How can anyone be reporting day 1 sales before the day is even over?
2) Before I came home I popped into my local Bik Camera to look for a few games. There was a big table display with a ton of copies of RE UC on it. A ton. I didn't however notice one person buy one.
3) Ghost Squad came out in Japan a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't exactly re-written the record books. 30K after two weeks IIRC.
4) RE UC is quite pricey, supposedly pretty difficult, and the content is hardly aimed at the family user base of the Wii.
5) RE4 Wii edition only did 125K lifetime in Japan.
