Firstly, if you have a compromised immune system you could be at risk. It is far better to get this flu now while it is safe and hasn't mutated hence you will develop and immunity incase it does mutate into something dangerous that could potentially harm the masses.
The question, YES IT HAS BEEN BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION massivley. But, the scientists have got what they wanted, people are scared and more funding will be provided towards more scientific developments in the world. Which is always good. When asked people won't donate, when potentially at risk, people will do anything....
A.) Do you have a compromised immune system.
B.) It could mutate and become dangerous to the masses.
