The 120k isn't even accurate.  I've noticed VGC neglects "the best" releases for some older Japanese games though not always.  Famitsu has it at 207,631 at the end of 2008.  It could be up to ~18k higher because there were 7 months of 2007 before the budget release, but it didn't make the top 500.  It also had stronger sales in 2008, so it may have added something in 2009.
