I believe it's coming out November 2010 and it will include blu-ray and have hd versions of at least one of these titles as a launch title: Metroid: Other M, Epic Mickey, Mario Galaxy 2, and / or the next Zelda Console title.

It will be fully backwards compatable with the original Wii (and maybe Gamecube), but it won't have a version of one of the big casual titles released until it has been on the market over a year because it will be used to attract the hardcore crowd more than the casuals initially, and Nintendo will try to keep the casuals happy with the original Wii (and accept trade-ins of original Wiis towards Wii 2's purchase to send original Wiis back out to the casual market).

It won't be officially announced in any capacity until E3 2010 (it will steal all the hype from natal), and be released a couple of months later. Probably late October or November 2010.

I don't think they will try to attract any casuals to this console until November 2011 when Wii Sports 3 will be released.

So Wii Sports 3 could be released in November 2011.

You have been reading the other thread by the look of it. I can't see this happening at all. I think they will concentrate on the Wii for a few years yet. Can't see anything being done to counter Natal unless Nintendo feels they need to.

I would also like to qualify my statement by saying that is what Nintendo needs to do if they want to capture the other 50% of the videogame market that isn't interested in Wii.
