Have you ever been shot at? I have. You either:
A. Run
B. Hide
C. Duck
D. Look for cover
E. Panic and freeze
The average person has never been shot at and would not remain calm and think quickly when the shooting starts.
For me, I'd react by making sure my family is out of harm's way. Next? I'm going to get help. I am not going to be the hero and try and fight them. No way. I'm getting the hell out of dodge.
