If moving off the bottom of the weekly console sales charts and more than tripling sales from previous months isn't progressive (not helping) then I don't know what is.

Temporary???

Everything in life IS temporary.

If you mean the Wii did the Wii have more sales weekly last year compared to this year?

Yush, it's all relative. Recently a lot has been said about the wii YoY decrease in sales and the x360 YoY increase in sales.

MS positives:

1) YoY increase is good.

MS negatives:

1) 1yr (1 and a half years in Europe) more time on the market and 22million behind wii.

2) Cheapest console on the market for a while now and still can't compete with wii.

Wii positives:

1) Still kicking as regardless and comfortably outselling the other consoles yearly (don't bring handhelds into the argument).

Wii negatives:

2) YoY sales decline.

PS3 positves:

1) Finally an affordable price and paying dividends.

PS3 negatives:

1) Could all be a little too late but profit at the end of it all is looking likely.

Isnt because the Wii have no worthwhile games in holiday 2008 till present why the downward of sales in summer season? And not because people cant afford the Wii even in recession? Because lets admit it, the casuals are too tired of Wii Sports and other 3rd party titles right now why even WM+ and WSR created and Wii fit plus if not for thiose reasons? I think the Wii was already in casual saturation already, Nintendo needs a new content to pleased the casuals...

@ctalkeb-----> The topic is if the pricecut really actually help the PS3 and the Wii. Not why I appear for videogames to be depressing. which leads you not on topic and you only post to troll me.

That might very well be the reason.

Maybe the wii sold so well in it's first 2 years that a YoY decrease was obvious, by that i mean market saturation.

I don't know.

Either way let's face it,  there is no company that won't like to be in nintendos current situation at any point in the history of console gaming.
