A big part of exploration in the older games was being able to enter then dungeons in almost any order and going to parts of the overworld where the enemies kill you because you're too weak. I really miss that in the newer titles, every playthrough is the same. I don't want every nook and cranny accessible immediately, but I don't think it's too much to ask to give us access to each general area at the start of the game.
Basically, if this game has everything Twilight Princess had, plus (or minus in some cases) everything everybody in this thread mentioned, it probably will be the best Zelda game ever. And because the best game ever is already a Zelda game, it would make it the best game ever. ;)
"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy
