N64 was a revolution it was the first fully 3D platform. You can argue all you want that their were already 3D games on PC and SNES. True their was StarFox and their was SuperStarWars etc...etc... but Nintendo's N64 was the first platform based around 3D! Just take a look at Mario64 and then look at 3D games like Donkey Kong Country and StarFox. The N64 was a revolution in every sense of the word! Are you saying Nintendo knew about the PSP before we did? Nintendo chose to launch the DS because it was at the end of the GBA's life cycle. They had the DS ready and Sony knew Nintendo would be starting another generation really soon. Sony based the PSP's launch around the DS not the other way around. Unless you want to suggest that Sony and Nintendo talk to each other and rig the industry? I am fairly confident theirs a 50/50 chance we will see the NextBox revealed at E3 2010. That is five years for Microsoft (Which said in 2005 that the X-Box 360 would have a four year life cycle). So its already over due. I'm fairly confident that Natal might launch with a whole new platform in fall 2010!

That's not a revolution, what you defined is an evolution, moving from partial 3d to full 3d is evolution They knew that Sony was working on its own handheld, that's why they released the DS, wrong, Nintendo didn't launch the DS because it was the end of the GBA lifecycle, they launched it because they wanted to respond to Sony, they are always working on new Hardware, so yeah they had a system being set up, but the fact is the DS phat was rushed because of the PSP, otherwise they would have waited to release a smaller more elegant DS like the lite. Look at the announcement dates, PSP was announced at E3 2003, DS in November of 2003, PSP was announced first
