I bought a Lite when the Lite was released and I bought a DSi when DSi got released. But honestly do I need a 4" screen? Is it worth trading in my DSi? will the price difference (After trading in my DSi) be worth it in the end?

I myself am sceptical. to be perfect honest I expect a new handheld in the next few years, so buying yet another DS just seem inpractical. I never picked up a PSPGo why should I pick up a 4" DSi instead? what other features other then a bigger screen make it worth shelling out the dough?

I agree, I don't think that sales to the older generation are going to be bulstered at all. I think the die hard fanboys will buy it up and as the 4' screen becomes default the parents will buy it up for their children. I think what would be cool is if Nintendo donated a ton of DSi's to old folks homes etc...etc... a cheap publicity stunt that could actually lead to higher sales among seniors and older adults!

Nintendo needs to market this new bigger screen to the audience their aiming for. That means taking out adds at old age homes and hospital's. Maybe paying off some glasses outlets to promote the bigger screen to people with eye problems! A vigerous campain alongside the platforms launch could have the impact they are hoping to achieve. But without a vigerous campain I doubt they will see many seniors purchasing it
