The N64 had a few good satellite games too. I mean some smaller hits such as Road Rash 64, Body harvest and Doom 64 are real pick up and play games, very easy to get into. But I agree, nothing in comparison to the sheer volume the PS1 offered.
Also OT: I think that F-Zero X is still one of the games I still play. That game has limitless appeal, there's always something to do. A forgotten classic.
