| SimonSaysFYou said: This whole thread is retarded. Unless you have been involved in a DUI yourself, there is no way you can fully understand what it entails. MADD loves to rub it in the media's face whenever a drunk driver crashes into something...human or not, and because of the way the media portrays it, the public has this skewed perception of drunk drivers in that they're all going to crash and/or kill someone because they're all too incapacitated to drive. that's completely untrue. The chances of a drunk driver getting pulled over who wasn't involved with a crash are less than 1%. Sure, the chances of getting into an accident are increased, but that really depends on how drunk you are. When I got caught I was drunk yes, but I wasn't going to get into an accident unless something outside of my control happened..such as someone else hitting me. |
You should print this post out and take it to every MADD meeting you can attend. And have a 40oz in your hand and tell them what you just told the class.
You aren't remorseful, you could care less. You feel you have been dissed by your parents, by the law, by the media. You - in your post - say everyone else is the problem. Your post proves one thing - you should seek professional help.
You may not care about taking your own life, but the ones you also take out - they didn't ask to be killed, maimed, run over and mentally or physically scarred for life. Tell that to the young woman in New Mexico who woke up from a coma to find out her entire family was killed by a clown driving the wrong way. Tell that to my wife's friend's husband left behind to raise their six kids because a fool, drunk, hit his wife while she was riding her bike. Tell that to my friend's parents who lost their son while he was running - and got hit by a drunk driver right before Christmas a few years back.
Yeah, you deserve to get your car keys.
