O_O man this thread grew rather fast.
I'm a niche gamer myself, fun creative stories and gameplay is what goes right up my alley. The Wii fits that the most since the niche titles are more plentiful, but mainstream games the Wii is lacking and for that I'd chose the PS3. So in the end. The 360 has a couple of niche and a couple of good popular titles that aren't multiplat so it's a jack of all trades but master of none in my book.
As for each download service, I love the old school games, so VC is amazing and I wish PS1 classics were on par with it but it's getting there. WW vs PSN Store vs XBLA... WW has some amazing games World of Goo is by far the best DL game this gen for me, XBLA has a good selection as well but there's not as many that appeal to me, and PSN just leaves a lot lacking on that subject.
