Remember, the original plan was for the WW and XBLA to get the original but XBLA to also get an enhanced version. Nintendo would not sign off on such. But if you give the Wii a new game based upon the license, it might go for it.

That was Just a rumor. Nintendo nor Rare owns the rights to GoldenEye. Therefore if the game was going to be ported to the XBLA there is nothing Nintendo could do about it.

Well we know without a doubt that Rare has no rights or licensing to the project.  They lost licensing and of course didn't publish the game.  But Nintendo is a trickier one considering they did publish Goldeney 007.  For that individual game they could still hold some sort of rights or licensing.  Now I'm not saying they do have that but they might.  More than likely they don't but it is still possible.  But Rare/MS are completely out of the picture. 

I'd stil say mostof it is with Activision and simply deciding what to do with it.
