+ Fun when playing local mp with evenly matched friends
+ Lots of track variety
+ Its an updated Mario Kart!
- Computer AI unbalanced
- Graphics are not that much of an improvement
- Beating higher difficulty levels seems more to do with luck than skill
- Mario Kart 64 seemed more fun (maybe its just that I expect more from games these days..)
- Online multiplayer experience not as well implemented as 360 / PS3 games
