"Wii fans seem to treat any developer who wasn't happy with sales as if they were a jackass and they made a crap game."
It's mainly if they blame the Wii that causes the problem. I think a couple developers have stated their games didn't sell what they'd liked, but that they would try better next time.
Also, when an HD game doesn't sell well, the HD fans also state it was because the developers didn't make that good a game (Haze and Lair).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
