Eh, I'm sure there's a good amount of PSN pro players in NA and the UK.

 

Plus, have you seen what happened with the MGO tournament? If so, I don't think lag is a problem.

UK =/= EU. And if I ever try to join US servers the lag makes it not even worth playing. And it would also ruin it for the players from NA for me to be skipping around the place.

 

And I never played MGO.

As for the MGO tournament, the top 2 teams from each continent got free tickets to Japan to compete in the championship finals. Of course, Japan won, lol.
